## The problem

sometimes you want the story of a film, not all three hours of it.

## What it does

you drop a full movie or a long video in. it reads the subtitles or script, finds the emotional and story beats, writes a retelling the way a film critic would, then cuts a short trailer to match. narration comes from elevenlabs, the writing from openai's multimodal models.

## The story so far

- oct 2025: five trailers go up on its own youtube channel: the silence of the lambs, sharknado, beetlejuice, circle and citizen kane.
- after that: built a harness for an ai influencer: a character with its own thoughts and opinions that kept posting on its own. it made shorts about founders and startups (three of them are in the evidence below).
- what i learned: keeping it running was the easy part. structuring what it says, so it has something worth saying, still takes real effort.
